Kesia Muthuthotatil is currently pursuing her MSc in Epidemiology at the University of Alberta. She currently serves as the Head Director of Outreach and Recruitment. In this position, she recruits volunteers, organizations, and schools for our many programs/events, and spreads awareness of Young Mind’s Eye across Canada. moneshwar ragouraman

Head Director of Media

Hello! My name is Moneshwar and I am someone who’s always drawn to creativity and storytelling. With a deep interest in marketing and the different paths it offers, I love exploring content creation, social media trends, and ways to connect with audiences on a personal level. Outside the digital world, you’ll often find me immersed in true crime stories, basketball, discovering new music, or working on video projects that capture moments in unique ways. For me, it’s all about connecting people through stories, both big and small.

Amreen rooprai

Talk Buddies Program Intake Coordinator

Hello! I’m Amreen (she/her), and I immigrated from India to Canada in 2022. During my grades 11 and 12 here, I dived into all sorts of experiences - tutoring peers, wrangling costumes backstage, delivering daily announcements, and even representing my school on a national level. After high school, I wanted to keep that momentum going. That's when I discovered YME and their remarkable vision to ensure every student, regardless of their background or circumstance, has access to personalized educational support. Next thing you know, I applied, interviewed, and was thrilled to be chosen as their Talk Buddies Program Intake Coordinator. The team has been incredibly welcoming and supportive ever since, and I’m excited to help bring their vision to life! On a more personal note, I am immensely passionate about music, books, cinema, and going on nature walks when time and weather allow :)

Priya Kuncham

Director of Recruitment

Priya Kuncham (she/her), is the Director of Recruitment and Volunteer Engagement at Young Minds Eye Foundation. With a background in Human Resources Management from York University, Priya is dedicated to welcoming and supporting new volunteers, ensuring they feel prepared and valued from the start. She’s passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging environment where everyone can thrive. When she’s not volunteering, you’ll find her baking in her free time, experimenting with new pastry recipes

ASHWIN ANAND

Young Minds Academy Program Coordinator

Hello everyone, my name is Ashwin and I am currently in Edmonton, Alberta. I was raised here, and I attend the University of Alberta, studying biochemistry. I have been with YME for a year now, starting as a volunteer tutor and just now taking the role of YMA Program Coordinator, and it has been a very fulfilling experience. I hope to meet more of my team members along the way to have a fun and rewarding experience. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, going to the gym, and photography.

ANYA LIU

Service Officers

Hey there! This is Anya! I am currently a 12th-grade student in Vancouver, BC, as is the Service Officer at YME. My job is to manage the blog writing team by editing blogs before publishing, hold monthly meetings with the team, and organize the themes for content creation. I decided to join YME in September 2023 because blog writing and content creation are like spiritual companions to me; they are like the personal platforms where one can share their genuine thoughts on topics of their interest and explore themselves as a person. Not only for self-discovery purposes, one can also gain a deeper insight of the world around them. I am overly ecstatic to be a part of such a wonderful and supportive team, where everyone is open to learn and grow with one another. I believe that with diligence, hard work, and FUN, we will learn and enjoy ourselves to the peak through being part of such an amazing team. Apart from YME, my hobbies include dancing, listening to pop music, going to late night drives, walking in nature, and having 3 hour rant sessions with my friends!
