We are living in the age of technology and AI is not unknown to us. Day in day out, we get on to use AI one way or the other. So, what is AI and AI technology? Let’s define it first.


As per Encyclopaedia Britannica, Artificial Intelligence (AI), is the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. Wikipedia defines Artificial Intelligence (AI) as intelligence exhibited by machines, particularly computer systems. It is a field of research in computer science that develops and studies methods and software that enable machines to perceive their environment, as well as use learning and intelligence to take actions that maximize their chances of achieving defined goals.


Artificial Intelligence (AI) is impacting industries and thus, human behaviour. Right from major industries like finance, healthcare, construction, IT industries, everything is set to change. How you ought to be financially prudent is answered by AI.


When was the last time we used the AI based tool to answer our queries? Needless to mention we now have these AI applications on smartphones, tablets, televisions etc. which only enhance the user experience. They definitely prove to be handy.


Advantages of AI in healthcare can be attributed to sieving through the relevant data and generating the tailor-made treatment plans for patients. It can help in the discovery of drugs, automate administrative tasks, and carry on with the efficient handling of medical treatments.


Construction being one of the major labor-intensive industries, AI is going way beyond in managing the projects right from planning to project close out. Below exhibit summarises it aptly.


So, what does the future hold for AI Technology? Are we doomed to having no labor force eventually if AI are to do all what’s required for humans in day to day lives? Definitely not, however, we would have AI experiences which would help towards betterment in various fields. AI is going to stay for long and is boosting day-to-day productivity and enhancing human life.
