Hanami is here.
The pink and the hues,
I hope time stands still.
Watching the wind blow
Over a group of cherry blossom trees.
On a warm sunny day,
Wanting to capture the moment.
My heart feels them fluttering,
The petals small and unique.
This feeling that things will improve,
And the wind will blow away our troubles.
Oh, how I wish they would remain longer,
But that is the tragedy of life,
Cherish the view as it changes,
Just like life, it is never constant.
Let me close my eyes,
Soak it all in.
The trees, the wind, the warm embrace,
Every year on time.
Like a reminder for us,
To slow it down.
This life is short,
But this season is even shorter.
Summer will be here soon,
The flowers will turn to leaves.
Their circle of life is complete.
